Kevin Lee Palmer is the Texas-born lead singer of Amity Lane[1] and TRUSTcompany[2] (formerly known as 41down). He is married to Layla Palmer. Layla plays keyboards in Amity Lane with him.
During his time with TRUSTcompany they released two albums; The Lonely Position of Neutral which was certified Gold by the RIAA, and True Parallels which went on to sell over 200,000 copies with little to no promotion. The band broke up following Palmer's problems with the hectic touring schedule which prevented him from spending time with his wife.
Palmer and Josh Moates decided to continue making music together and ultimately formed Amity Lane. The band signed with Corporate Punishment Records and released their debut The Sound of Regret in 2006. To promote the album, the band went on the Corporate Punishment Tour with labelmates Ghost Machine.
In fall 2007, it was announced on various message boards that the original lineup of TRUSTcompany (featuring Palmer, guitarist James Fukai, bassist Josh Moates, and drummer Jason Singleton) had reunited and have since recorded and release a new album in March 2011, and are currently planning tours of the summer.
